The spigots are 3/4\" and will work with all standard female hoses. The top of the barrel holds a locking， removable top. By twisting， you can keep the barrel sealed to protect young ones and keep out mosquitoes. Just twist it the other way and it lifts off. At the center of the lid is a mesh screen that will accommodate all standard downspouts and keep out bugs and leaves.
